Get ready for the Simpsons LEGO 'block'buster

After seeing their favorite family get the LEGO treatment earlier this year, fans of The Simpsons should get ready for an upcoming "block"buster.

 

The longest-running primetime animated series on US television will feature a "LEGO Spectacular" as indicated in a trailer for its 550th episode on May 4 (Monday in the PHL).

 

Featured in Fox Network's "Animation Domination" YouTube channel, the trailer features the Simpsons family and the entire town of Springfield all done up in LEGO bricks.

 

 

It had over 230,000 views as of Friday noon, PHL time.

 

Sunday's episode comes months after LEGO experienced great success with its Simpsons LEGO playset - a brick version of the Simpsons' house - and The LEGO Movie.
