LTE-ready Sony Xperia M2 debuts at P15,000

Good news for entertainment enthusiasts on the go but on a budget: Sony Philippines has rolled out its newest smartphone that combines sharp imaging and long battery life, all for P15,000.
Sony Philippines said the Xperia M2 is the slimmest 4G LTE in its class, and includes the OmniBalance design and a long-lasting battery.
"Razor-sharp photos and video with the 8MP Exmor RSTM for mobile, HDR camera, and Xperia camera apps for live video broadcasting and sharing," it said.
Customers who buy the phone before July 31 can avail of three free blockbuster movie downloads through "Privilege Movies."
Jhoanna Benedicto, Sony Philippines Marketing Officer for Mobile, said the Xperia M2 "offers the best of Sony’s technologies, combining the latest Sony innovations in display, sound, and photography to offer a complete smartphone experience at an affordable price.”
Smartphone camera
The 8MP camera with Exmor RS for mobile includes Autoscene Recognition and HDR, using the technology of Sony's Cyber-shot cameras.
In addition, Xperia camera apps such as Social live, Timeshift burst and Picture Effect can help users to get the most out of the smartphone's camera.
Meanwhile, the 4.8-inch qHD display lets users enjoy entertainment content on the largest qHD display in its class.
Fast, durable
The Xperia M2 runs on the Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 400 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPUs and 4G LTE for fast performance.
It also has a 2300mAh battery with STAMINA Mode 3.0 for "long days of heavy usage."
NFC
On the other hand, Xperia M2 can connect users via Bluetooth to Sony’s one-touch compatible products with NFC technology, such as a stereo Bluetooth headset. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
