Are folders coming to Windows Phone 8.1?

Microsoft is further blurring the dividing lines between its devices and operating systems, to the point that they're all looking pretty much the same.
Folders could soon be coming to devices running Microsoft's Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, a tech site reported this week.
The Verge cited a support article at Microsoft’s Windows Phone site suggesting native support folders for apps on the Start Screen, but added the article has since been taken down.
"The method will work similar to iOS, where you drag one Tile on top of another and it creates a folder that can then be renamed. Apps can then be accessed from within the folder," it said.
While Microsoft has already taken down the support page, a Google cache as of June 29 indicated the folder feature can help users keep their Start screens organized "by letting you group Tiles the way you like."
But it also noted the folders feature will require Windows Phone 8.1 Update.
The Verge noted Microsoft is still in the final stages of testing its first WP 8.1 update, and may introduce it in July or August. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
