Apple posts solemn memorial to Robin Williams

 

Apple Inc. joined the world in mourning the death of comic genius Robin Williams as it posted a solemn tribute to the late comedian on its website.

 

"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Robin Williams. He inspired us through his passion, his generosity, and the gift of laughter. He will be greatly missed," the company said.

 

A separate article on tech site The Verge said Apple had paid similar tribute to Rosa Parks and Nelson Mandela.

 

The Verge added the late Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs and board member Jerry York were similarly commemorated. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
