This in a nutshell is how a 3D-printed contraption folds and fires paper airplanes at rate of one flyer a second.

 

In a YouTube video, an enthusiast showed off the paper airplane gun in action, quite unable to wipe the smile off his face.

 

"A little tinkering from me that shows what you can do with 3D printers today. Most parts of this paper airplane machine gun had printed by fabberhouse.de (the rest of them are to buy via Internet or hardware store)," he said.

 

He said he used a China-made cordless screwdriver to power the device.

 

Popular Science said the operator even showed how the contraption folded and fired the planes.
