Dropbox gets fingerprint locking on iOS
Users of the cloud-based storage service Dropbox can now unlock their accounts using their fingerprints, if they happen to own an iPhone running iOS 8.
Dropbox's updated iOS app, which was rolled out Monday, is optimized for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, including the Touch ID unlocking feature.
In its change log for its latest iOS update, Dropbox said an iOS 8 device user can "use your fingerprint to unlock Dropbox with TouchID support."
The new app also has a fix for previewing RTF files on iOS 8, along with stability and performance improvements.
On the iTunes App Store, Dropbox said its latest app runs on iOS 7 or later.
It is also compatible with the iPad and iPod touch. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
