Turkish gov't donates computer packages to Manila school

Students at a school in Manila's Paco district stand to benefit from the Turkish government's donation of computer packages.

The Department of Education said the donation from the Turkish International Cooperation and Development (TIKA) is a boost to its computerization program.

It said the TIKA donated 36 computer packages, seven printers, and five laptops to Justo Lukban Elementary School.

Turkey Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan led the ceremonial turnover of the computers.

DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro extended his gratitude to TIKA for its technical assistance to Philippine schools.
