WATCH: Jurassic World breeds all-new, more terrifying dinosaurs
By MIKAEL ANGELO FRANCISCO

“You just went and made a new dinosaur? Probably not a good idea.”
The first official trailer for “Jurassic World”—the latest installment in the science fiction film series inspired by Michael Crichton’s novels Jurassic Park and The Lost World—has found its way online, revealing a rebuilt park, a mysterious “Frankensteined” super-dinosaur, and… tamed (and decidedly featherless) velociraptors?!
The park is open
Set 22 years after “Jurassic Park,” “Jurassic World” takes place on Isla Nublar, where a fully operational dinosaur park—the lifelong dream of the late John Hammond (portrayed in the first two “Jurassic Park” films by Richard Attenborough)—has officially been opened to the public.
However, as people start coming in droves to witness history (or perhaps, prehistory) unfold before their very eyes, geneticists at the park, now renamed “Jurassic World,” unleash an all-new main attraction: a genetically-engineered dinosaur hybrid possibly more deadly than Tyrannosaurus rex, Spinosaurus, and all other saurian predators combined.
As trouble inevitably ensues, it’s up to the team of park wardens led by Owen (Chris Pratt) to contain the madness and subdue a vicious, monstrous carnivore that no creature, alive or dead, has ever dealt with before.
'D-Rex' in the park
The genetically modified dinosaur’s look and name have yet to be officially confirmed; however, online entertainment sites are calling it the Diabolus (with the affectionate nickname “D-Rex”) based on what appears to be leaked concept art.
Reports are also claiming that “D-Rex” will be the product of spliced DNA from a T. rex, a Velociraptor, a snake, and a cuttlefish. Meanwhile, leaked images of “Jurassic World” LEGO set pieces seemingly confirm the final look and colors of “D-Rex” in the film.
Starring alongside Pratt are Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Irfan Khan, Vincent D'Onofrio, Omar Sy, Judy Greer, Katie McGrath, Lauren Lapku, Andy Buckley, and BD Wong (reprising his role as Dr Henry Wu). Directed by Colin Trevorrow based on a screenplay co-written with Derek Connelly, produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, and executive produced by original franchise director Steven Spielberg, “Jurassic World” is scheduled to stomp its way into theaters on June 10, 2015. — TJD, GMA News
