Leaked ‘Mortal Kombat X’ screenshots show new bloody characters

Screenshots have surfaced on Xbox360Achievements revealing several fighters who could all be making it to “Mortal Kombat X’s” playable character roster.

 

First up is Erron Black, a new gunslinger character who likes shooting people point-blank in the face. This is evidenced in one of the leaked images, which may actually be showing off a Brutality. Elsewhere, Black appears in the “Mortal Kombat X” comic book as a mercenary working for Kotal Khan. 

 

From another image we can see Baraka, though whether he’ll be a playable character or not remains to be seen.

 

Other fighters 

 

Other fighters who will likely return as playable characters are the disgraced elder god Shinnok, and Special Forces major Jax, both of whom Polygon representatives fought in-game earlier this month.

 

The leaked pictures also give us a peek at alternate costumes for Shinnok and Cassie Cage, the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade.

 

Recently confirmed returning veterans include Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, and Mileena. The next generation of fighters will be headed by the aforementioned Cassie Cage; Jax’s daughter, Jacqueline Briggs; Kung Lao’s descendant, Kung Jin; and blind swordmaster Kenshi’s son, Takashi Takeda.

 

 

Friday the 13th

 

And, to everyone’s delight, Jason Voorhees of “Friday the 13th” fame will be available as a DLC character. Now, if only they could bring back Freddy Krueger so we can have a proper Freddy vs. Jason match.

 

 

“Mortal Kombat X” will be released on April 14 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions have been delayed to an unspecified summer date. — TJD, GMA News
