New Asus ZenWatch 2 rivals Apple Watch with 4-day battery life

 

 

The Apple Watch now has a new challenger that kinda looks like it but with one standout feature: a long four-day battery life.

 

Asus' new ZenWatch 2 also alerts the wearer to calls, messages and other data without having to reach for a smartphone, Mashable reported.

 

It also has a metal digital crown that seems similar to that of the Apple Watch.

 

But for now, the ZenWatch 2's four-day battery life appears to be its major advantage over the Apple Watch, whose battery life tops out at one day.

 

ZenWatch 2, which runs Google's Android Wear, also has a slightly curved display and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

 

Its remote camera feature lets users display their smartphone's camera viewfinder directly on the wrist and is now faster.

 

Aside from this, ZenWatch 2 has 18 options for strap materials and casing color - including silver, gunmetal and rose gold. It also has several watch faces to pick from.

 

One option includes a leather band with accented Swarovski crystals, Mashable said.
