Bukas pa ba ang tindahan? Google Maps can now warn you if a store is closed

 

Google has just made its Maps app smarter.

 

Now, not only can Maps tell you which way to go—it can also tell you if a store or establishment you are going to is closed by the time you get there.

 

Such a feature is in the updated change log for Maps, Android Police said.

 

"This won't only tell you if your destination is closed when you select it, but if it's going to be closed by the time you get there. So let's say you're 20 minutes away from something. If it closes in 15 minutes, Maps is smart enough to tell you that now," it said.

 

It said the notice pops up in the middle of the screen and gives a user the option to continue with navigation or cancel.

 

A separate report on Mashable said the feature gets to work once a user enters the address of his or her destination in the app.

 

Users may see the warning: "Your destination may be closed by the time you arrive," it added. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
