Sun Cellular revamps postpaid plan offerings

On June 29 Sun Cellular announced a new lineup of postpaid plans, with the entry level pegged at P450 inclusive of a handset and limited data capability.
The company's entry-level Best Value Plan 450 includes an Android phone, monthly unlimited calls and texts, 20 hours of mobile surfing, free Facebook, and 250 texts to other networks.
On the other hand, the company's Non Stop Surf Plan 450 which provides unlimited Internet surfing, an additional 1 GB for data streaming, and 1 GB music streaming on Spinnr.
The plans apparently undercut rival Globe Telecom's P499 myLifestyle postpaid plans, which offer a comparable combination of surfing, calling, and texting options.
Meanwhile, according to the company officials, the first quarter of 2015 saw Sun gain a 18% year-on-year growth in postpaid subscriber base. In 2014, Sun had a 16% year-on-year growth in terms of their subscriber base.
