Tech company creates paper crane that can actually fly
A paper crane that combines origami with more advanced technology was created by Japanese company Rohm and was one of the exhibitions at this year’s Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEATEC), according to tech website Endgadget.
The crane, which can stay in the air for around five minutes, is remote-controlled and weighs 31 g, including its battery. The basic structure is made up of carbon tubes and 3D-printed nylon.
According to the crane’s makers, they plan to upload the schematics online. They also told Endgadget that the crane is actually promotion for Rohm’s Lazurite Fly microcomputer. — Bea Montenegro/TJD, GMA News
