StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void gets launch trailer, mission packs
By MICHAEL LOGARTA
At BlizzCon 2015, Blizzard unveiled the launch trailer for the final “StarCraft II” expansion, “Legacy of the Void.”
The trilogy may be ending with “Legacy of the Void,” but the “StarCraft II” experience is far from finished. Post-launch, Blizzard plans to release episodic mission packs for the game. The first pack is due spring 2016 and will be part of a larger campaign called “StarCraft II: Nova Covert Ops.”
“It’s not going to be a full-blown campaign like ‘Void,’ etc. It’s a shorter experience. There will be nine missions broken into three mission packs,” explained the senior designer for Legacy of the Void, Kristopher Howl.
The story-focused, single-player campaign will explore the backstory of the lethal Terran ghost Nova. In addition to army-building missions, the expansion will also contain sequences where the only controllable unit is Nova.
“StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void” is launching globally tomorrow, November 10. — TJD, GMA News
