‘World of Warcraft: Legion’ gets launch trailer
By MICHAEL LOGARTA
Blizzard’s “World of Warcraft” is getting a sixth expansion called “Legion.” Its trailer was unveiled during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2015.
The expansion will involve the return of the Burning Legion – a demonic army that invaded Azeroth several times in the past. They served as the primary antagonists in “Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos” and “Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.”
“Legion” will also see the return of Illidan Stormrage. A night elf and the first Demon Hunter, he is notorious for betraying his people to the Burning Legion.
The expansion will feature a new continent known as “The Broken Isles.” The quests, enemies, and item rewards found in its zones will scale according to the level of the player’s character. This will give the continent a more “open world” feel, as players will be able to go anywhere they want from the get-go.
In “Legion,” a new “Demon Hunter” hero class will be available to players, although those who pre-order the game will have early access to it.
Other new content will include artifact weapons that can be customized, raids and dungeons, and an overhauled player-versus-player system.
Lastly, the level cap will be raised from 100 to 110.
