Final Fantasy XV gets prequel film and anime mini series

During the Live-Stream “Uncovered” Event announcing new information for Final Fantasy XV, Square-Enix officially announced that the upcoming new installment in the popular Japanese Role Playing Game Series will get some prequel tie-ins in the form of an anime series called  “Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV” and a CGI Film called “Kingsglaive Final Fantasy”.

The five-part anime series, produced by A-1 Pictures, will follow the main character Noctis as he befriends and meets for the first time the three other companions who will be his allies in the main game. The prequel will tie-in to a new demo for FFXV that takes place separately from the main game and will pick up directly after the events of Brotherhood. According to The Verge, the first episode of the anime will be released sometime on March 31.

On the other hand Square-Enix will explore the FFXV universe a lot deeper with its CGI film Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV (http://kotaku.com/final-fantasy-movie-coming-this-year-with-game-of-thron-1768144650), which will tell the story of Noctis’ dad King Regis and the events that lead to the war in the kingdom of Lucis. Game of Thrones stars Sean Bean and Lena Headey will be lending their iconic voices as Regis and Luna, while Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul will play the character called Nyx.

Final Fantasy XV will be released for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One on September 30 worldwide. — TJD, GMA News
