Some government websites hacked by ‘Indonesian defacer’
Two microsites of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and websites of several local government units have been hacked by a group claiming to be an Indonesian Defacer Team.
The incident came a month after the website of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) was hacked.
The affected sites include two microsites of DOST's PAGASA: https://web.pagasa.dost.gov.ph/ and https://kidlat.pagasa.dost.gov.ph.
Recently, its was announced that the Comlec website would be handled by DOST.
The websites of local government units of Tabuk and Tanudan of Kalinga province, Pinamungajan in Cebu, Canlaon city in Negros Island, Quezon provincial government, and Barrios Sto. Niño and Malaya of Pinamalayan town in Oriental Mindoro.
Also hacked Central Philippine University and the AMA Computer Learning Center, among others.
The Anonymous Philippines, in its Facebook post, “Not really our job to fix government websites, so please stop messaging us regarding the defacements currently circulating online. And no, we will not attack Indonesian sites because of this.”
The group issued a warning to the administrators of the affected websites to fix these themselves. — BAP, GMA News
