‘Heroes of the Storm’ 2016 Summer Global Championship announces more victors

The 2016 Summer Season of the “Heroes of the Storm” Global Championship is well under way, and the next two teams who will be given the opportunity to represent the Philippines at DreamHack, Sweden, have been decided.


Online Qualifier #2

The second Online Qualifier took place on May 7, 2016. The Double Elimination tournament involved five teams, all of whom were returnees from Online Qualifier #1. They were Corpse Camping, Newborn, Renovatio – The Resistance, Suicide Squad, Psistorm.

 

Renovatio – The Resistance secured first place and took home PHP 30,000. In second place, Corpse Camping went home with PHP 15,000.

As the top two teams of Online Qualifier #2, Renovatio – The Resistance and Corpse Camping are moving forward in the tournament. They will be joining Online Qualifier #1 winners Renovatio and Skyline in the Philippines National Finals, which is scheduled for May 14. The top two teams from this tournament will then move on to the May 21 – 22 Southeast Asia Summer Regional, where they will face off against the best contenders from Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand for the honor of representing Southeast Asia at the DreamHack Summer event in Sweden. — TJD, GMA News
