Latest trailer ‘Rise of the Tomb Raider’ shows off new modes, mystery, and zombies

After staying as a timed exclusive for Microsoft’s Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms since November 2015 and being released for PC last January, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics are ready to deliver female video game icon and adventurer Lara Croft’s latest adventure “Rise of the Tomb Raider” for the Playstation 4.

The game will also be re-released for all previous systems to celebrate the franchise’s 20th Anniversary with “Rise of the Tomb Raider: The 20 Year Celebration”, which promises all DLC content and more modes for players to experience.

In the newest trailer for the game’s “Blood Ties” mode, Lara Croft is about to embark on a spooky adventure inside the confines of her childhood home “Croft Manor.” Here she uncovers hidden secrets and mysteries that tie to her family’s history.

A new zombie mode where Miss Croft fights hordes of the undead also appears in “Lara’s Nightmare”, satisfying the cravings of those who have always wanted a crossover between Tomb Raider and Resident Evil.

In addition to retaining its 3rd person platform adventure gameplay, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will also be compatible with Sony’s upcoming Playstation VR peripheral, which will be used in conjunction with the “Lara’s Nightmare” mode to give players a first hand experience at fighting as Miss Croft.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider: The 20 Year Celebration" will be released on October 11. — AT, GMA News
