Dark Souls III's first DLC is out, here's the trailer
The first DLC for “Dark Souls III,” entitled “Ashes of Ariandel,” has just been released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
In time with the expansion’s worldwide launch, Bandai Namco unveiled a nifty new trailer – complete with horrific giant bosses, chaos, creepy visuals, more chaos, and an awesome cover of “Lake of Fire,” which was written by the Meat Puppets and later popularized by Nirvana.
Rage quit incoming
“Ashes of Ariandel” is set in a frozen kingdom filled with creatures that would like nothing more than to ruin your day. On the flip side, you’ll get to play with a host of new armor sets, weapons, and magic, so it can’t be all that bad.
A second expansion will be released in early 2017. Details about this future DLC have yet to surface.
According to Hidetaka Miyazaki, the celebrated creator of the “Souls” series, From Software is currently developing a new “Armored Core” title, as well as a game that’s “a little weird.” Aside from the planned second DLC, “Dark Souls” itself seems to be on hiatus, but whether the studio is taking a temporary or permanent break from the popular dark fantasy franchise remains to be seen. — TJD, GMA News
