Means Streets of Gadgetzan unveiled for Hearthstone

The latest expansion for “Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft” takes players into a dark underworld of “disorganized” crime. Entitled “Mean Streets of Gadgetzan,” the add-on was announced at BlizzCon 2016.

The expansion comes with a whopping 132 new cards. More surprisingly, it introduces three factions to the game: the Grimy Goons, Jade Lotus, and Kabal. These are the major crime families in Gadgetzan. Each boasts alternate versions of particular cards.

The factions are also associated with specific classes. Hunters, Paladins, and Warriors end up with the Grimy Goons. Druids, Rogues, and Shaman are under Jade Lotus. Mages, Priests and Warlocks belong to Kabal.

Some of the cards revealed at BlizzCon 2016 include the following:

  • I Know a Guy: Costs 1 Mana, It allows players to Discover a Taunt Minion.
  • Lotus Assassin: Costs 5 Mana. It has 5 Attack and 5 Health. Every time the card attacks and kills a minion, it gains Stealth.
  • Kabal Talonpriest: Costs 3 Mana. It has 3 Attack and 4 Health. Its Battlecry gives a friendly minion +3 Health.
  • Kabal Courier: Costs 3 Mana. It has 2 Attack and 2 Health.
  • Piranha Launcher: Costs 5 Mana. It can be used up to four times, and gives the hero 2 Attack. Every attack a hero performs summons a 1/1 Piranha.
  • Kazakus: Costs 4 Mana. It has 3 Attack and 3 Health. Its Battlecry creates a custom spell if there are no duplicates present in your deck.

Players can acquire the new card packs by winning matches in the Arena mode, or by purchasing them using in-game or real money. You can already pre-purchase a $50 bundle that includes 50 cards.

“Mean Streets of Gadgetzan” will be available on PC, Android, and iOS this December.
