Street Fighter Vs Darkstalkers miniseries announced
Two of Capcom’s greatest brawler titles are about to hit the pages of comic book history, as longtime and official publisher of Capcom-related books UDON Entertainment has officially announced “Street Fighter vs Darkstalkers” – an 8 issue comic book miniseries that will see the World Warriors of the Street Fighter universe go toe-to-toe against the dark monstrous creatures of the Darkstalkers universe!
According to Shoryuken.com, the crossover begins this February 2017 with “Street Fighter vs Darkstalkers #0”, and will then begin with a proper miniseries count that will be headlined by UDON veteran writer Ken Siu-chong and artist Edwin Huang. 4-page back up stories will also be included with the series starting with issue #2, and will feature the writing and artistic talents of other creators as well.

Teased as an add-in story for the “Street Fighter Unlimited” miniseries and also during San Diego Comic Con this year, Street Fighter Vs Darkstalkers will be the first proper meet-up between two of Capcom’s popular fighting game IPs in story form. This isn’t the first time both brawlers have crossed over, as several characters like Ryu, Chun-Li, Felicia, and Anakaris have featured as playable characters in the Marvel vs Capcom crossover fighting game series. It will be interesting to see how the martial artists fight against the dark creatures, so stay tuned for 2017’s biggest challenge in comics! — TJD, GMA News
