Firestorm revealed for Injustice 2

As the days inch closer and closer to the release of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, DC Entertainment, and NetherRealm Studios’ fighting game sequel “Injustice 2”, more surprises and revelations come in and give fans a taste of the superhero battle to come.

With Swamp Thing and Doctor Fate revealed as the latest fighters to join the fray, one former mystery character finally shines out and is officially getting added to the roster, and that’s none other than Firestorm – The Nuclear Man!

Best known to DC Comics fans as a member of the Justice League and The CW’s superhero show “Legends of Tomorrow” featuring a version of the character in the series, the Injustice DC Universe’s Firestorm is the combined form of Jason Rusch and Martin Stein – two very different people who find themselves caught in the middle of a battlefield that goes above and beyond the both of them.

With the hero’s ability to rearrange the atomic and subatomic structure of mostly any substance to something else, this superpowered metahuman is a force to be reckoned with, in addition to displaying the ability to fly, fire energy blasts, and harmlessly absorb radiation.

Reported by VG 24/7 and as a build up and tie-in promotion to introduce the character to the world, NetherRealm Studios and the team of UpUpDownDown from WWE have gone to the former’s headquarters and met up with Mortal Kombat creator and NetherRealm Studios head Ed Boon – to reveal Firestorm and show off some gameplay of the Nuclear Man in action!
