Nathan Fillon, Adam Warlock cut from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Fans of Nathan Fillon will be disappointed to know that the actor’s role in James Gunn’s upcoming sequel “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” has been cut, as the man who was supposed to play a familiar Avengers’ character from the comics was left out in the final edit of the upcoming film.
According to a report on Comic Book Movie, a new Instagram photo from Fillon apparently revealed a picture of what his character Simon Williams would look like all dressed up and flying a spaceship to the stars.

If the name sounds familiar to you it should, as Williams is the civilian identity of the superhero Wonder Man – a longtime member of the Avengers and a creation of Stan Lee, Don Heck, and Jack Kirby during the early days of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the comics.
While Fillon’s character won’t be appearing in theaters when GOTG Vol. 2 comes out, it’s probably a safe bet that fans will be seeing his stuff in deleted scenes or otherwise when the movie reaches Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital Media.
The sequel to the 2014 superhero Marvel Cinematic Universe space adventure was also supposed to feature the debut of cosmic character Adam Warlock, but that was also left out to put more emphasis on the existing Guardians characters and Star-Lord’s reunion with his long-lost father in the sequel.
Either way, James Gunn has already announced that he will be returning to direct “Guardians of the Galaxy” Vol. 3, so there’s more time to see these characters introduced in the future.
