Tokyo Tower turned into Final Fantasy dungeon for series' 30th Anniversary
Fans of Square Enix's long-running "Final Fantasy" series have had plenty of reasons to celebrate this 2017, as the franchise commemorates its 30th Anniversary with a host of nostalgic offerings that true-blue FF players won't be able to pass up.
In the spirit of showing just how much of a cultural impact the games have been in their native Japan, Tokyo Tower was turned into a Final Fantasy-esque dungeon for one night—specifically a Level 50 crystal dungeon lit up in blue!

According to a report on Kotaku, the night of April 28th saw Japanese fans flock and take pictures of the rare sight of Tokyo Tower turning blue to honor the FF series. Several tweets of pictures showing the tower were shared from different angles and locations were shared.
Also, for those who actually went to the tower itself, Square Enid opened a special Final Fantasy store selling all kinds of merchandise from the series, so you can expect staples like Golden Chocobos and Mogos to be among the many things offered from the franchise's history.
Celebrating 30 years of epic storylines and iconic characters that have become fan favorites with each subsequent installment released, the Final Fantasy series began in 1987 and is among the most recognizable video game franchises in history.
Its latest installment, Final Fantasy XV, was released for the PlayStation 4 and XBox One on November last year. A remake of Final Fantasy VII, one of the most popular entries in the series, is currently being developed and will be release first on Playstation 4. — TJD, GMA News
