Spider-Man: Homecoming Spider Drone coming to market

As Peter Parker prepares to make his grand entrance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with “Spider-Man: Homecoming” this July, fans will be happy to know that they will have the opportunity to own one of the webslinger’s gorgeous new gadgets that will be seen in the film - the surveillance drone that comes out of the Stark Industries powered costume Tom Holland wears in the movie.

In a report by Comic Book Resources, a functioning replica of Spider-Man’s eight-legged surveillance device is being developed by Sky Viper and set to be released as a Toys R’ Us exclusive.

Aptly named the “Spider-Drone”, this high-tech toy is inspired by the souped-up chest insignia that flies out of Peter’s Spider-Man suit when he needs eyes in the sky, and is another gift from his mentor and the invincible Iron Man himself – Tony Stark.

Equipped with phrases from the film as well as LED lights and flight modes, this gorgeous piece of geek equipment will be available in two different designs and prices at $89.99 and $149.99 respectively. Naturally, the pricier version comes with more accessories and features than its regular counterpart. The device allows for streaming and recording of video, and is expandable to 32GB with a micro SD card.

As the second reboot the Spider-Man film franchise, Spider-Man: Homecoming sees the return of everyone’s favorite wallcrawling hero in his own solo movie.

After Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios struck a deal to incorporate the character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the character made his first appearance and debut in last year’s epic superhero film “Captain America: Civil War”, where he was recruited and brought under the wing of Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark/ Iron Man.

Now set to swing into theaters in his own solo film, young English actor Tom Holland plays a high school aged Peter Parker who is still learning the ropes and what it means to be a hero in “Spider-Man: Homecoming”.
