Apple to repair for free iPhone 7’s ‘no service’ glitch
Owners of iPhone 7s experiencing "No Service" reports on their phone screens even if signal coverage is fine, are being haunted by a bug that company technicians will fix for free.
A report on TechCrunch, an American online publisher of technology industry, said that the "No Service" bug is impacting iPhone 7s for over a year now, and that the company is determined fix the problem --for free.
But the fix is not going to be easy, said Greg Kumparak the author of the report.
A simple software update won’t help the problem, he said.
Citing information from Apple, Kuparak said that the issue stems from a faulty logic board, which means that company technicians need to physically repair the affected devices (representing a small percentage of the units sold), especially those made between September 2016 and February 2018.
