Meta: No user data compromised during outage
No data was compromised during last week's outage of Meta applications, Meta Philippines said on Thursday.
"Ang maganda dito ay hindi po siya matagal. Yung disruption po na nangyari ay klaro naman na na-restore natin lahat ng services. At walang nawalang data or anything monetary, or anything in relation to the safety and the use of the accounts of our Facebook users," Gio Tingson, Meta Philippines head of public policy, told reporters.
(The good thing is that the disruption did not last long, and all services were restored. There was no loss of data, no monetary loss, and no issues related to the safety and use of our Facebook users' accounts.)

Tingson said Meta is still investigating the cause of the outage.
"We're still finishing the audit now," Tingson said. "I think it was just a very quick outage and services weren't really delayed. So, I think we should be okay."
Many users of Meta's platforms were alarmed on the evening of June 12 after experiencing difficulty accessing Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.
Users were suddenly logged out of their accounts shortly after 9 p.m., disrupting communication and online activities.
Some users said the outage caused stress and inconvenience.
Data from outage monitoring website DownDetector showed that more than 100,000 reports of issues were logged globally for Facebook, while Instagram recorded around 10,000 reports during the disruption.
