Sagay, Camiguin LGU adapts MapX property, tax management system

SAGAY, Camiguin — The local government unit of Sagay, Camiguin has adapted a management system that lays out its assets, properties, and tax for easier management and organized recording.

MapX is a geospatial data platform developed by Caraga State University to serve as a tool for visualization and management of land and real property data.

The platform has an artificial-intelligence-assisted plotting feature that can read property boundaries and display the total encoded land properties and those with or without title.

The interactive platform also shows the encoded buildings of a town or city as well as a section map and miscellaneous map.

The research for MapX was funded by the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development.
