Storms could be more frequent from December to March —PAGASA

More frequent extreme weather conditions and heavy rains threaten to hit the country starting next month and would probably last until March 2018.

State weather bureau PAGASA's data show that the chance of a developing La Niña in the Pacific Ocean is high.

Citing PAGASA information, GMA News' "Unang Balita" reported Thursday that the temperature in the Pacific Ocean is abnormally high, a condition that could lead to the occurrence of weather disturbances and storms.

PAGASA advised Filipinos to brace for possible heavy rains that could spawn  floods and cause landslides in some areas in the country. —LBG, GMA News
