Light to moderate rains expected in Metro Manila


The northeast monsoon will continue to affect most of Luzon on Friday, reported Chris Perez, Senior Weather Specialist of PAGASA.

On Friday morning, expect light to moderate rains in Metro Manila and in several areas in central Luzon.

Southeastern Mindanao will be cloudy but a low pressure area is not expected to develop.

So far, Perez said, a storm is not expected within the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday.

Northern and central Luzon, Rizal province and Metro Manila will be cloudy with light to moderate rains brought about by the northeast monsoon.

The Bicol region, Mindoro provinces and other areas in southern Luzon will have warm weather with isolated thunderstorms.

Temperatures in Luzon has slightly gone down due to the effects of the northeast wind in Luzon.

Palawan and the entire Visayas will have fair weather but isolated thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon.

Fair weather is also expected in Mindanao with scattered rainshowers in the afternoon.

A gale warning is raised, due to the northeast wind, in northern Luzon, central and southern Luzon and eastern Visayas. Fishermen and those with small boats are not advised to set sail on Friday. — BAP, GMA News
