Inclement conditions expected over eastern Mindanao, Visayas areas

The Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Regions could expect cloudy conditions accompanied with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the trough of a low-pressure area, PAGASA reported in a Saturday morning forecast.

The northeast monsoon would meanwhile bring cloudy conditions with light rain over the Cagayan Valley, Ilocos, and Cordillera Administrative Regions; as well as partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rain over the rest of Luzon and the Visayas.

Over the rest of Mindanao, partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers could be expected.

Winds would be strong from the northeast over northern Luzon, and the eastern sections of Central and southern Luzon, and the Visayas. Coastal conditions along all these areas would be rough.

Over the eastern section of Mindanao, winds would be moderate to strong from the northeast with moderate to rough surrounding sea conditions.

Finally, winds over the rest of the country would be light to moderate from the northeast with slight to moderate coastal waters. — DVM, GMA News
