Most of PHL to have fair weather, says PAGASA


Weather bureau PAGASA on Sunday said most of the country will have fair weather with low chances of widespread rain.

"Mababa ang tsansa ng malawakang pag-ulan sa malaking bahagi ng bansa dahil sa suppressed at limited ang cloud formation na maaari sanang magbigay ng pag-ulan particularly sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon," weather specialist Loriedin Dela Cruz said in PAGASA's 4 a.m. public weather forecast.

Parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao may have isolated rain showers and thunderstorms lasting five to 30 minutes in the afternoon or evening, she said.

Luzon will have fair weather in the next 24 hours, with thunderstorms in southern Luzon and Bicol.

Temperatures will reach a high of 33 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila, 38 degrees Celsius in Tuguegarao, 33 degrees Celsius in Laoag, and 26 degrees Celsius in Baguio.

Visayas and Mindanao will have fair weather. Isolated rain showers and thunderstorms may be possible in the afternoon and evening.

Temperatures will reach a high of 33 degrees Celsius in Cebu, Tacloban, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, and Zamboanga City. Davao City's temperature may reach 34 degrees Celsius.

No gale warnings have been raised as seas along the eastern seaboard will be moderate, and slight to moderate elsewhere. Small seacraft can venture into the seas.

Monday to Wednesday

In the next three days, from Monday to Wednesday, it will be fair weather for most of the country.

Metro Manila's temperature is forecast to range between 25 to 36 degrees Celsius. Residents were advised to bring umbrellas and to avoid direct exposure to sunlight.

Baguio's temperature will range from 16 to 27 degrees Celsius, while that of Legazpi will be from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.

Metro Cebu will be cloudy with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will range from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.

Metro Davao will be partly cloudy with temperatures ranging from 25 to 34 degrees Celsius.

In Metro Manila, sunrise on Sunday was forecast at 5:35 a.m.
