Tropical Depression Nimfa is expected to bring frequent light to moderate rains with occasional heavy rain showers during thunderstorms over Central Luzon, Batangas, Cavite, Occidental Mindoro, and northern portions of Palawan including Calamian and Cuyo islands between Tuesday night and Wednesday evening, PAGASA reported in the Severe Weather Bulletin issued late Tuesday evening.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Western Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered light to moderate rains and intermittent heavy rain showers during thunderstorms.

The Southwest Monsoon is also expected to bring light to moderate rains over Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Laguna, Batangas, and Rizal. It will also bring light to moderate rains over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, and Quezon.

PAGASA advised residents living in areas identified to be highly susceptible to floods and rain-induced landslides to coordinate with local disaster risk and management officers and take precautionary measures.

As of 10 p.m. on Tuesday, the center of Tropical Depression Nimfa was estimated at 685 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes packing maximum winds of up to 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph and slowly moving in the west northwest direction.

The weather bureau did not issue tropical cyclone signals.

Meanwhile, PAGASA also reported that sea travel over the northern and eastern seaboards of northern Luzon are risky especially for small seacrafts while other seaboards will remain moderate to rough.

The other LPA monitored by PAGASA in the Philippine Area of Responsibility was estimated in the vicinity of Mayantoc, Tarlac.

It may cross over Central Luzon and may eventually dissipate within the circulation of Nimfa. — BAP, GMA News
