PAGASA issues thunderstorm warning over Metro Manila, other parts of Luzon
PAGASA on Thursday issued a thunderstorm warning over Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon.
In its 4:30 p.m. advisory, the weather bureau said moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Metro Manila, Cavite, and Rizal within the next 2 hours.
As of posting time, Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Laguna, Batangas, Quezon, and Bulacan are experiencing moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds which may persist for 2 hours and affect nearby areas, it added.
PAGASA said the following areas will experience inclement weather: Santa Cruz and Candelaria in Zambales; Capas and Bamban in Tarlac, Mabalacat, Angles City, and Porac in Pampanga; Carranglan, Lupao, Talugtug, Guimba, Munoz, Llanera, Rizal, Bongabon, Gabaldon, General Mamerto Natividad, Laur, and Palayan in Nueva Ecija; Alaminos in Laguna; Santo Tomas in Batangas; General Nakar and Polilio in Quezon; and Dona Remedios Trinidad in Bulacan.
Thunderstorm in other areas are now terminated, PAGASA said.
The weather bureau advised affected residents to take precautionary measures against impacts associated with the weather, such as flash floods and landslides. — Joahna Lei Casilao/RSJ, GMA News
