Cloudy skies, isolated rains in Batangas due to northeast monsoon and volcanic activity

Batangas will have cloudy skies with isolated rains due to the northeast monsoon and Volcanic Activity. There may be reduced visibility and mudflow during ashfall and light to moderate rains.

There is also a potential for isolated thunderstorms in the vicinity of the volcano, PAGASA reported in its early morning weather forecast.

Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate and Samar provinces will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Tail end of a Cold Front.

The weather bureau adds that flash floods or landslides may occur due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon and the rest of Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon and that occasional gusts may occur especially in coastal and mountainous areas.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon and intermittent strong winds are possible especially in coastal and mountainous areas.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorms and possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The weather bureau is also monitoring a Low Pressure Area (LPA), which as of 3 a.m.,  was estimated based on all available data at 410 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

The forecast wind for northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Visayas is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters remain moderate to rough.
