Samar Provinces to have scattered to widespread rains due to tail end of cold front
The tail end of a cold front is affecting Visayas on Monday, and will bring cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorm over the Samar Provinces, PAGASA said in its early weather forecast.
The rest of the Visayas meanwhile will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides may possibly occur in the Samar Provinces and the rest of the Visayas during times of heavy rainfall.
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) on the other hand is affecting Luzon.
It will bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, CALABARZON, the Bicol Region, Aurora, Mindoro Provinces, Marinduque and Romblon. Strong winds may possibly occur intermittently especially in the coastal and mountainous areas.
Meanwhile, Palawan and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorm. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough over the seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
As for the rest of the country, coastal waters will be light to moderate.
