Cloudy skies, light rains in Ilocos Region, CAR and Cagayan Valley due to northeast monsoon


The northeast monsoon will be affecting northern Luzon on Wednesday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with light rains due to northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms, the weather bureau warned.

The forecast wind speed for extreme northern Luzon is strong and moving northeast to north while coastal waters will be rough.

The rest of Luzon, wind speed is moderate to strong moving north to northeast direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.

In the Visayas and Mindanao, forecast wind speed is light to moderate moving northeastward while coastal waters remain slight to moderate. — BAP, GMA News
