Northeast Monsoon to bring rain to Luzon on Friday —PAGASA

The Northeast Monsoon, or Amihan, is expected to bring some rain to parts of Luzon on Friday, PAGASA said.

In its 24-hour weather update on Thursday, the weather bureau said cloudy skies with light rain are expected over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Region, Cagayan Valley, the Bicol Region and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain.

Visayas and Mindanao are also expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Gale warnings are raised over Batanes, Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Northern Quezon, Polillo Island, Panukulan, and Burdeos.

PAGASA cautioned against sea travel for fishing boats and other small sea crafts due to expected rough sea conditions. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
