Northeast Monsoon to bring rains over Luzon, Visayas — PAGASA
The Northeast Monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with light rains over Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Bicol, Aurora, and Quezon on Saturday, PAGASA said Friday.
In its 24-hour weather update, the weather bureau added that the monsoon is also expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Visayas, Metro Manila, and the rest of Luzon.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers are expected over Mindanao due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned against possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Gale warnings are meanwhile raised over Batanes, Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Aurora, Northern Quezon (including Polillo Islands), Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, and Albay, according to PAGASA.
They are also raised over the northern and eastern coast of Northern Samar and the eastern coast of Eastern Samar.
The weather bureau cautioned against sea travel for fishing boats and small sea vessels due to expected rough sea conditions. — Joahna Lei Casilao/RSJ, GMA News
