Cloudy skies, light rains in many parts of the Philippines due to northeast monsoon
The northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon and Visayas on Wednesday, reported PAGASA in its early morning forecast.
The Visayas, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, Romblon, and Oriental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also brought about by the northeast monsoon.
Meanwhile, Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. The weather bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorm.
The forecast wind speed in Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao is strong and moving northeastward while coastal waters are expected to be rough.
For the rest of the country, the forecast wind speed is moderate to strong and moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain moderate to rough. — BAP, GMA News
