Northeast Monsoon to bring rains over Luzon, Visayas on Saturday
The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is expected to bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol on Saturday, PAGASA said Friday.
In its latest update, the weather bureau added that the monsoon may also bring cloudy skies with rains over Visayas, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, and Romblon.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains may prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon.
Localized thunderstorms may, meanwhile, bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over the rest of Mindanao.
PAGASA warned against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Gale warnings are raised over Batanes, Calayan, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Northern Quezon, Polillo Group of Islands, northern coasts of Camarines Provinces, northern and eastern coasts of Catanduanes, the eastern coast of Albay, the eastern coast of Sorsogon, and the northern and eastern coasts of Samar Provinces.
Gale warnings are also raised over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Palawan, the southern portion of Mindoro provinces, Dinagat Island, Siargao, Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, and the southern portion of Davao Occidental.
The weather bureau cautioned against sea travel for small vessels due to expected rough to very rough sea conditions.
