Northeast Monsoon prevails over Luzon, Visayas on Sunday —PAGASA
The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is expected to bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon on Sunday, according to PAGASA.
In its 24-hour weather update on Saturday, the weather bureau said that the monsoon may also bring cloudy skies with rains over Bicol, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Samar Provinces, and Panay.
PAGASA warned residents of affected areas against possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate rains.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains may prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon due to the monsoon.
Localized thunderstorms may meanwhile bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains showers over Mindanao.
The weather bureau cautioned against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Gale warnings are raised over Batanes, Calayan, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Northern Quezon, Polillo Group of Islands, the northern coasts of Camarines provinces, the northern and eastern coasts of Catanduanes, the eastern coast of Albay, the eastern coast of Sorsogon, and the northern and eastern coasts of Samar provinces.
It is also raised over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Palawan, the southern portion of Mindoro provinces, Dinagat Island, Siargao, Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, and Davao Occidental.
