Northeast Monsoon to bring light rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is affecting Luzon and Visayas on Sunday and will bring clouds and light rains over some areas, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.
Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains.
The Bicol Region, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Samar Provinces, and Panay Island will also have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains, but flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate rainfall.
Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
Meanwhile, Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. PAGASA warned of flash floods or landslides that may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Coastal waters will be rough over the eastern section of the country and the rest of Northern and Southern Luzon, with waves reaching as high as 4 meters.
For the rest of the country, coastal waters will be moderate to rough, with wave heights expected to be as high as 3.1 meters.
