Cloudy skies, rain across Philippines due to Amihan, localized thunderstorms
The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is forecast to bring cloudy skies and rain over Luzon and Visayas within the next 24 hours, PAGASA said on Sunday afternoon.
In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said that cloudy skies with light rain will prevail over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Eastern Visayas, and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain were forecast over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas.
PAGASA said no significant impact is expected from the said weather conditions caused by Amihan.
Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms are seen to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Mindanao.
The state weather bureau advised Mindanaoans to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. — Julia Mari Ornedo/BM, GMA News
