Warmer days ahead as Amihan starts to weaken

Warmer days are expected within the week as the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan starts to weaken, GMA resident meteorologist Nathaniel Cruz said on "24 Oras" Monday.

According to the MetraWeather forecast, the cold breeze from Amihan will gradually weaken in the coming days.

In Baguio City, the temperature increased from 11 degrees to 13.8 degrees Celsius over the weekend.

Metro Manila would like experience a minimum temperature of 22 degrees Celsius with no chance of rain.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said cloudy skies with light rains may affect Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon.

The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Central Luzon may also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain.

On the other hand, severe thunderstorms may cause possible flash floods or landslides in Visayas and Mindanao.
