Trough of LPA to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms over Mindanao
The trough or extension of a low-pressure area is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mindanao on Saturday, PAGASA said.
In its 24-hour weather update, the weather bureau warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Gale warnings are raised over the eastern coast of Catanduanes, the eastern coast of Sorsogon, Rapu-Rapu Island, the northern and eastern coasts of Samar Provinces, Dinagat, Siargao, the eastern coast of Surigao Del Norte, and Surigao del Sur.
PAGASA cautioned against sea voyage for small vessels due to expected rough to very rough sea conditions.
