Cloudy skies, light rains forecast over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, part of central Luzon


The Tail-End of a Cold Front (TECF) will be affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon while the northeasterly Surface Windflow (NESWF) will be affecting northern and central Luzon on Tuesday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

The Bicol Region and the province of Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains and thunderstorms due to the TECF and residents are warned that flash floods may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and the rest of CALABARZON will have cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the NESWF as gusty conditions may occur in coastal areas.

Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, and the rest of central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the NESWF but this will have no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorm and residents are warned that flash floods may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed in northern and eastern sections of Luzon is moderate to strong while moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

For the rest of Luzon, the forecast wind speed is light to moderate moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

In the Visayas and Mindanao, the wind speed forecast is light to moderate moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate. -- BAP, GMA News
