Cloudy skies, isolated rains forecast for Metro Manila due to the easterlies


A frontal system will be affecting northern Luzon on Wednesday while the easterlies will be affecting the rest of the country, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

The Cagayan Valley Region and the province of Aurora will have cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the frontal system.

The regions of Caraga and Davao will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm brought about by the easterlies with the possibility of flash floods or landslides due to scattered moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed for the northern and eastern sections of northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest Luzon will have moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate.

The wind speed for the rest of the country is light to moderate moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate. -- BAP, GMA News
