Early Thursday morning PAGASA spotted a Low Pressure Area (LPA) at 855 kilometers east southeast of Davao City embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao.
The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies, scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region. The weather bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur due to severe thunderstorms.
In Batanes and Babuyan Islands the northeasterly surface windflow will bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by the easterlies or localized thunderstorms
The forecast wind speed in extreme northern Luzon is moderate to strong and moving eastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The wind speed in the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao is expected to be moderate and moving towards the northeast to north direction while coastal water will be moderate.
For the rest of the country, the wind speed will be light to moderate and moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal water will remain slight to moderate. -- BAP, GMA News
